Parrots, but more specifically macaws, are my favorite creatures to observe. They move about their day, unapologetic about their bright plumage. They’re rare, curious, and loud. In some theology, they’re seen as guardians of southerly direction, summertime, fertility, and healing. See why I’m fascinated? ‘Igor’ is a rendering of my favorite, the red and green macaw.
