Theia is the Titan goddess of sight and the shining ether of the bright blue sky. She is also the goddess of light, and associated with all that glimmers. Her name was derived from the greek words thea meaning “sight” and theiazô meaning “prophecy.”I chose to paint Theia’s eye as a representation of the power of seeing the truth. What does the truth do for us internally? How does it shift our perspectives? How does it aid in achieving justice? For me, truth has the power to change an opinion… a story… a mind… the world
